UMass Law students recently wrapped up an incredible two-week study abroad program in Portugal. Partnered with the Católica School of Law, this journey was packed with learning, culture, and unforgettable experiences.

"The trip gives you a totally different perspective on law," added Tamar Shimon, JD candidate '26. "They took the time to teach us a lot of historical background, making the academics so engaging and valuable for us. It's important to have these experiences to grow as a student and as a person."

On Friday, May 17, the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth School of Law conferred 112 Juris Doctor degrees to the Class of 2024.

"There is deep satisfaction in lawyering, I promise, but not all at once and not right away. You will have to work hard to climb that learning curve. I ask that you be kind to yourself on the way up," said Dean Sam Panarella during his first Commencement as Dean of the School of Law.
