Bergenia cordifolia
Native to Siberia, Bergenia cordifolia is also known as Heartleaf Bergenia, and is a clump-forming perennial noted for its hardiness and vigor. Amazingly hardy to zone 3, and evergreen, this plant looks best in mass plantings. The pink flowers are born on thick red stems in early spring over the leathery, heart-shaped leaves. Grows 12" - 18" tall and will spread slowly if happy. Deer and rabbit tolerant. Attracts butterflies. Easy to grow.
