One of the questions I get most often as an acupuncturist is "does it hurt?".

Every person's body is different and the experience can vary with both the patient and the practitioner. There can be a sensation with needling and that is a good thing! It means that that little hair-thin needle is doing its job. In my practice, I strive for giving pain-free treatments and I, sometimes, don't even use needles.
