At APTA, we're committed to fostering diversity and inclusivity within the profession. This , we celebrate the contributions of LGBTQIA+ physical therapy professionals โ your dedication, compassion, and expertise help us build a more inclusive and supportive environment for everyone.
In recognition of Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander (AANHPI) Heritage Month, SMU celebrates the significant contributions of AANHPI practitioners and scholars in the field of healthcare!
Pioneers like Margaret Chung, the first American-born Chinese physician who founded San Franciscoโs initial Western hospital in Chinatown, and SMUโs very own Ching-Hua Wang, who overcame immense challenges to lead with distinction, serve as beacons of inspiration and progress.
This month, we reflect on the rich history, acknowledge the present achievements, and look forward to a future where diversity, equity, and inclusion are fundamental principles. Let us join together to create a society where every individual's heritage is valued, every voice is heard, and every aspiration can be realized.
