We are accepting walk ins at 2 pm at our Friday Seminole 40 west clinics. Examination is required at this location.

Ocala veterinary wellness services Florida International Teaching Zoo hosts Ocala Veterinary Wellness Services at Seminole Feed

We are seeing our first patients today. There are still a few appointments available for next Friday- and you can book ahead. Remember if you want to have a stool sample test you will have to bring a sample with you. Enclose it in a sealed plastic bag. It may be refrigerated overnight.

There are only a few spots left on Friday Oct 21 for wellness exams. Now booking for next Friday Oct 28.

When reserving your booking, remember it will only show available times on the days we are open. Fridays 1 to 5 pm. We book in 15 minute increments per pet.

This is a serious problem nationally and here in Marion County. This is one of many reasons we are opening a Wellness exam service for pets located in the Seminole Feed store on Hwy 40 near the airport.
Taking some of the strain off local veterinarians to dedicate their time to sick patients, the Ocala Veterinary Wellness Service will be open 2 afternoons a week and see ONLY wellness exams, provide vaccinations and heartworm tests, and allow our patients to order prescription flea and heartworm products from our online store.
We will continue to keep our pricing as low as possible to accommodate our clients on fixed incomes and those affected by the economy.

What is a Veterinary Wellness Service?

Veterinary Wellness services provide a complete veterinary physical exam of your pet. The exam determines the appropriateness for routine vaccinations, heartworm testing/preventative drugs, and f***l parasite testing/treatment.
The Wellness Visit Does Not include treatment of illnesses (such as ear infection or a**l sac treatment), Laceration/Trauma surgeries or stabilization, X-rays, advanced tests, or any treatments/procedures requiring a Full Service Veterinary Hospital.
The Wellness Service Standards are defined by the Florida Board of Veterinary Medicine, and are specially licensed by the Board.

Due to your wellness services limited staff: We have Rules

Scheduling: Each pet must reserve a 15 minute block. If you have multiple pets please reserve enough spaces. Deposit is required due to the high demand for veterinary services. Your deposit is forfeit if you fail to show up for your scheduled examination.

Dog rules: All dogs on leashes-Aggressive Dogs Requiring Muzzles MUST Notify staff prior to exam!!!

Cat Rules: DUE TO LIMITED STAFFING: Barn Cats must be Tame & Not in a Live Trap
NO aggressive, hard to handle cats. ONE cat per carrier unless they are kittens.
Any/All cats deemed by staff to be problematic shall be referred to Brick City Cat Hospital 352-732-7877.
We Do Not perform Feline Leukemia Testing
FeLeuk Boosters only with proof of prior negative tests/previous boosters

ALL Documentation of your pet's Wellness Exam,Referrals, Test Results, & Prescriptions
Are provided at your visit and your records are maintained by the Wellness Staff
