The Pilot Club of Ocala created a Rock Garden at Marion Woods Retirement Facility for the Residents to enjoy. In Feb 2020 before Covid, we met with residents and enjoyed a day of painting rocks with them and had a hold on "planting the garden" until just recently. We hope the residents enjoy this little garden and that it brings happiness to their lives and puts a smile on their faces.

Pilot Club of Ocala installation of Officers for the new year took place on Saturday, June 19th. President, Cindy Williams, President Elect, Carole Vitale, Secretary, Susan Yanish and Treasurer, Nancy Bierema were sworn into office by Mindy Thompson from Rails to Trails Pilot Club. Following their meeting they enjoyed a time of fellowship having lunch together at Latinos Y Mas.

Hillcrest School pick-me-up

It was such a pleasure to bring smiles to the faces of the Hillcrest School staff with pick-me-up goody bags. We left with a feeling of also being blessed.

The Pilot Cub of Ocala had 3 special people to celebrate tonight. We initiated a New Member, Susan Yanish. Our 50 Year Member Mrs DJ Ferguson was chosen as our 2019 Club Ambassador and Nancy Bierema celebrated her 25th Year in Pilot this month. We may be small, but we still do what we can to support our community and work together to make a difference.

Today we joined residents of Marion Woods Retirement Facility to paint rocks which will be used to create a rock garden there very soon . We had a lot of fun visiting, laughing and enjoying each other while painting.

Thanks to everyone who came out and played Bunco tonight. We had a great time and raised money to start our fund on placing some handicap playground equipment at a local Ocala Park!! Thank you to everyone for a great night!!!

The Pilot Club of Ocala was happy to visit Fire Dept #1 tonight and drop off a basket of goodies and a $25 Publix Gift Card for EACH of their 3 shifts. We recently learned that the Fire Fighters pay for their own food and get no help from our county or city, they each pay $13 per day at this station when they are on duty, which is about $50 per week for their food. They were VERY excited to have these goodies and gift cards! In addition to the goodies, the Anchors from Belleview High and St John High also wrote cards of appreciation and thanks which were included with each basket!!

The 2017-2018 Officers have been installed. We are looking forward to another wonderful year of serving those around us in Ocala!!

Nancy Scott Bierema and Missy Ridgway delivered a special "Pick Me Up" gift full of edible treats & snacks to the Ocala Police Department Dispatchers last week during their Appreciation Week. These treats were put together by and a gift from the Pilot Club of Ocala as a thank you for the service given by these 29 individuals to the Ocala Community!!! Thank you for all you do!!

The 2016-2017 Pilot Club of Ocala Officers were installed by Joyce Centrella, the 2008-2009 FL District Governor. We are excited to get our new year underway and do some good for those in need.

Some members from the Pilot Club of Ocala celebrated with many other FL Pilots today as we Re-dedication our 4th Pilot Scholarship house. This is our first house for guys and it is located in Gainesville, housing 16 young men. We were honored to be part of this event and seeing our club name on the plaque of donors. FL Pilots ROCK and we love all of our Scholarship House students!!
