The CEP's Equine Initiative Ocala, presented by Pyranha

The fires near Ruidoso Downs Race Track and Casino are still burning and there is work to be done friends. Lip Chip and our team was blessed to be helped this week as our team evacuated the track, and worked alongside horsemen to haul horses to safety. Many of these horsemen have lost their homes, their barns, and we do not yet know the full extent of the damage. Please help us as we partner with The Sam Thompson Memorial Foundation and Race Track Chaplaincy of America to give to those in need. We will meet by the large tiki hut just north of the sales pavilion in the center of the property. Parking is located in the front of OBS on 60th Avenue or at the back of the building through the side entrance. This will be a walking tour with no refreshments. Please bring water and wear boots or closed toe walking shoes.

Gentle Carousel Miniature Therapy Horses's Reading with Horses annual summer literacy programs in partnership with the Ocala CEP will have this year's kickoff on June 6, 2024 at 10:00 AM at the Ocala Downtown Market!

Gentle Carousel's Reading with Horses summer programs are free for children and adults. Each week features a different horse and children's book by different authors and publishers about that actual horse. The goal is to bring books to life.

Every child will be able to select a new book to take home each week.
