Murry Fly boxing champion, Jez Almance, has won a state competition in Dallas and regionals in Arkansas. In February this third grader is going to nationals in Missouri. Good luck Jez!

Our doors open at 9:15 am today. Class starts at 9:40 am today and we will have regular dismissal.

Today’s weather was much better than the forecast indicated, and that is good news. There is the possibility of more rain overnight, but temperatures are expected to warm up significantly tomorrow. We are calling for a Delayed Start tomorrow; a two-hour delay for all schools and all bus routes. Our Transportation team will be out early driving through the city and county to check on the conditions of the roads and if we need to change to a cancellation we will make that call by 6:30 a.m. Again, all ECISD schools and offices will open on a two-hour delay tomorrow, Thursday, February 2. See you at school!

At this time, tomorrow, Tuesday, January 31st will be a late start. We will update tomorrow morning if school is cancelled. All ECISD schools and offices will open 2-hours later than regularly scheduled. Overnight, our Transportation team will drive roads in the city and county to check conditions, and if the weather plays out as predicted and they are deemed hazardous at that time, we will announce a decision to close schools by 6:30 a.m. Again, we will start on a 2-hour delay for tomorrow, Tuesday, January 31st, and will evaluate the weather and road conditions overnight and announce any change of plans by 6:30 a.m.
