Familiar forms found in nature are taking a patchwork approach for OCU’s current art exhibit!

The exhibit, “Threaded Discoveries: The Intersection of Fiber Art and Science,” by mother-daughter duo Vicki and Shannon Conley, will be on display through Sept. 13 in OCU's Norick Art Center.

We love seeing work in artist’s studios that is coming to us— check out our hall and main gallery this summer to beat the heat!

A new exhibition will be featured in the OCU Norick Art Center hall gallery beginning Friday, May 10. The exhibition will feature eight works on both canvas and paper. The show’s artist is choosing to utilize a working name for this exhibition. His bio can be found below.

Angelo Galvantis* LLC is the working name of a visual artist born in western Nebraska during the presidency of Dwight Eisenhower.

His training began in Midland, Texas and resumed in Houston at a high school named after Robert E. Lee. He achieved a BFA at the University of Texas at Austin and an MFA from the University of Oklahoma.

From 1993-1995 “Mr. Galvantis” was a designer/illustrator for Award Design Medals in Noble, Oklahoma. He later curated collections and exhibits at an AAM-accredited art museum on the State Fair Grounds.

Galvantis then spent twenty years in an institution of higher learning.
