It's easy to tell a leader, "You're too deep in the weeds, too hands-on. You MUST delegate more!" It's another thing for them to be able to let go of specific roles, responsibilities, and tasks.
One reason might be that they love doing what they perceive as the "only thing they can do or they do best."
Another is a lack of trust that their team will complete specific tasks. Perhaps they have not been assigned properly, or the CEO/business owner doesn't know who to assign them to.
