When you are dealing with a Narcissist and you believe you are resisting the actual person then you have already lost the battle. You should be fighting your battle with the spirits that are ruling the Narcissist.
When you respond in the flesh to the Narcissist, you come into agreement with the evil spirits in them and you participate in your own destruction, but when you respond in the Spirit using Biblical laws and principals then you come into agreement with God's Word for you, your victory and the destruction of every weapon formed against you.

Ephesians 6:12 "for we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places."

Isaiah 54:17 "No weapon formed against you shall prosper, and every tongue which rise against you in judgment you shall condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord and their righteousness is from Me."

Narcissism:
A lack of empathy, entitlement, grandiosity, superficiality, arrogance, admiration seeking, difficulties with emotional regulation (like when you tell your mom or dad off or disrespect them in front of others or cuss or disrespect your husband or wife in front of others and then ask them why are they so upset or why can't they be like so and so) a propensity for envy, and difficulties with self-esteem regulation.
