TOMORROW’S THE DAY! We’re so excited to celebrate the FIRST Packing District Farmers Market at their new 4Roots Farm Campus. We’ve been counting down and waiting for 2 years to be able to see this vision come to life and we’re so excited that tomorrow you can finally come visit us at the market’s new permanent home.

Tomorrow is also the annual Harvest Festival presented by 4Roots so we will have extra fun filled with pumpkins, photo opps, bounce houses, food vendors, art, and you guessed it…COFFEE!

🦉The Night Owl - house made chai meets cookie butter meets ceremonial cacao and the drink is blue, what more can we say.

Today is a great day, it’s Edward’s birthday!!!! ☕️🥹💜🎉 Edward is one of the most thoughtful, creative, kind, and funny guys you’ll ever meet. He has an amazing talent at creating which not only shines in his drink recipes but in his music creations as well. He is always willing to give a helping hand and is great at showing compassion and care for every person that he meets. He’s also a secret animal whisperer (just ask our cats, our dog, or really any stray cat he walks up to befriend). But really, he’s so kind hearted and gives his all into our business at Lucid Beans. Our dream would not be a reality without his ability to push us to always be our best, motivating us to continue to create and think outside the box, and by reminding us to love what we do. So let’s show some love to our favorite barista, Edward and wish him the happiest of birthdays today! 🎁❤️✨

These little pollinators are small and mighty and never ask for anything in return, we think it’s time we give back.

This is the first of many on our ‘Give Back Menu’, the purpose of which is to donate proceeds from these drinks to organizations that support the world, animals, and all those that can’t help themselves.

We are eternally grateful to be considered for Best Coffee Bar in Orlando once again. We can’t express how great it feels to have such a strong community behind us in less than 2 years, with just a pop up tent, a couple tables and a passion for great coffee. Thank you to each and every one of you that have supported us on this journey. Y’all make the blood, sweat and (many) tears worth it.

We’ve slowed down a little lately to take care of our mental health and make some positive changes that will help us do this thing sustainably, but rest assured, we’ve got big moves in store. Stay tuned.

We’re grateful to have had the opportunities so early in our journey to work alongside people and organizations that put community focus into action. From .orlando and our friends to and our night market family at and everything in between. Working with such purpose driven people taught us community isn’t so much about the where as it is about the how and more importantly, why.

We feel coffee shouldn’t just look good, but taste good and be better for you. A misconception I’m sure we’ve all believed at some point is that “healthy food doesn’t taste good” and our goal is to change that narrative.

We choose ingredients that happen to be plant based, in part because we like the challenge, but more so to show the endless possibilities with organic ingredients found in nature.

A plant based lifestyle isn’t about restricting or being anti-anything. It’s about being mindful of what you put in your body, regardless of if you eat animals or not. It’s about being open to what the science has to say, and still having the freedom to choose what works best for you and your unique lifestyle.

For me personally, once I switched to plant based, that was the first time I wasn’t dependent on my asthma inhaler. As a Colombian-Argentinian, I was raised on meat, so the transition was far from easy, but it was the best choice for my health. For me, nothing tastes better than what’s best for my body.

One of the goals with Lucid was to try to make coffee that wasn’t just as good as what I wasn’t able to have anymore, but to make it better. For many, plant based isn’t just an alternative preference, it’s a choice based in something much deeper.

Unfortunately, coffee has taken way too long to be accommodating and mindful of that. Lucid was started in part out of that frustration of feeling like a burden, or having to pay more for “alternative milk”. Lucid was started from not feeling seen, like there wasn’t a place that accommodated the way I am.

Above all else we strive to make each and every person feel seen and understood. For all to feel welcome.

It’s so lovely to see lots of new names and faces here so we figured it’s time for a reintroduction to our friends old and new! We are Edward and Maddison of Lucid Beans Coffee Company. We started the idea of Lucid Beans Coffee Company back in 2020 when we had both lost our jobs due to Covid shutting down the wedding and events industries. As our busy lives paused, we dreamed of a future where we wouldn’t be working opposite shifts and rarely seeing each other at home. We had many conversations over a cup of coffee pondering what our future would be like together until one day it clicked. What if we could be in this moment forever? Sitting with a cup of coffee, feeling cozy, and slowing down and reconnecting. What a crazy concept for a coffee shop!? But here we are, trying our best to make it happen.We pour our hearts and souls into this business and believe that it is possible to find happiness and peace in slowing down and enjoying life now as it’s happening. And as this may all seem so perfectly dreamy and “hippie-dippy” it does not mean that this journey is for the feint of heart.
We’ve sacrificed our weekends for the past year and a half missing many birthdays, holidays, and time with family and friends. We’ve laughed, cried, and have had every emotion in between. We’ve had amazing days filled with victories and days where we ask ourselves if it’s all worth it. Being a small business owner is no walk in the park and trying to find a work life balance can still be hard for us - try working together, living together and now planning a wedding together all while trying to grow our business - it can be madness, but we love our crazy life and we stay inspired with every amazing individual we meet. You inspire us and keep us pushing past our fears and doubts. We love creating, we love serving and we love connecting with you and we cannot even begin to thank everyone that has entered our lives and supported our small business dream. Thank you for allowing us to create some magic for you.
