Dental Dams have many uses but the one we will be talking about today will include the use of it s*xually for oral stimulation.

Dental Dams help provide a barrier between the mouth and either the va**na or the a**s, making sure the spread for STD's are kept to a minimum. It is a rectangular latex or nonlatex matieral that goes over the area that will be orally stimulated. It can come in fun flavors too, ranging from banana to mint to even chocolate strawberry!

If you are unable to buy dental dams as they are, there are two quick ways to fix that conundrum.
1) take a condom and roll it out before cutting up one side
Or
2) take a glove and cut it up the side

Both work and are great ways to keep yourselves safe!

An unheard hero of the revolution was John Laurens. He was an aide-de-camp for George Washington during the revolutionary war and fierce civil rights advocate. During his time in war, he created the first black battalion, with 3,000 enslaved black people, promising freedom in return for fighting for the United States.

His family were one of the largest slave trading families in North Carolina and John Lauren's opennly advocated against his family, calling for enslavement to end in the 1770's.

He had both a wife and a child, as was customary in the late 1700s, though his true love was for a slightly more famous friend, Alexander Hamilton. Both men shared love letters while the country was at war, which to this day has made historians beleive that not only was John Laurens gay, but Alexander Hamilton himself did infact have s*xual and romantic relations with John Laurens himself.

This man sadly did not get to advocate for the rights of enslaved blacks becuase in August if 1782, he was killed at the Battle of Combahee River at age 27.

He can still be seen and immortalized today in a slightly more musical area, though. Hamilton: A Broadway Musical features John Laurens, letting his name live on.

Every Friday learn about someone you didn't know and realize the world is a bit more gayer than you thought.

Bayard Rustin was an unsung hero of the civil right movement. He was Martin Luther King Jr.'s right hand man, advocating for desegregation and civil rights. He believed rights for all, and fought for that. He also argued and fought for gay rights, for he himself was apart of the LGBTQ community being a gay man himself.

He walked right beside Martin Luther King Jr. during the Selma to Montgomery March and also worked with A. Phillip Randolph with the March on Washington Monument to fight for equal employment opportunities.

Bayard was jailed many times for his fight for justice. Both as a civil rights activist as well as an openly gay man. Because of his s*xuality, he isn't talked about much in the public school system, but he is still an important figure in history, no matter how you look at it.

Every Friday, learn about someone you might not have known and realize the world and history is a little bit gayer than you thought.

L**e: A substance, used for minimizing friction.

When it comes to pe*******on in any or***ce, you must always use the proper steps to keep yourself safe from tearing and pain. One quick and easy way is l**e.

Even if you are able to self-lubricate, it's not a bad idea to slap some extra l**e on whatever will be used to pe*****te. It is safe and easy.

There are different types but the most common are water-based l**e and silicon-based l**e. Both are safe to use, though do not use silicon-based l**e with a silicon-based toy. It will eat away at the toy, which no one wants.

The more you know! Stay tuned next week for another *xMonday

Eleanor Roosevelt was the First Lady of the White House during the Roosevelt era. While she was wife of Franklin D. Roosevelt, many sources confirm that in the White House, she had female lovers. The closest "friend" she had was Lorena Hickok, a prominent newspaper correspondent. Between these two women, there is about 3500 letters, giving strong evidence that these women were in a relationship. Whether she was a le***an or bis*xual still remains a mystery, but Eleanor Roosevelt was a member of the LGBTQ+ community.

LGBTQ+ History and S*xual Education/Wellness is scarce in America, causing many people to learn about different LGBTQ+ education in their adult years. We aim to provide this information to the younger generation, both LGBTQ+ and straight individuals alike. Everyone is welcome to discussions and education and we make an effort to keep it as inclusive as possible. Education should be open for all, some come sit down. Let's talk!

Thank you so much for your support! With the beginning of the New Year, we need to remember that still in multiple counties all over the United States, S*x Ed is still very limited in public schools, with LGBTQ+ s*x ed almost nonexistent. Our aim is to create open conversations with s*xual wellness and education for all communities, straight and LGBTQ+ alike.

Help make our education well known by giving a like on our page! Thank you!
