Join us tonight Monday, October 28th at the LGBT Center Orlando, 6:30PM to discuss the topic “Labels”!
Where is language helpful on an individual and/or more expansive level within the LGBTQ+ community? How can labels be harmful? In what ways may labels help us find others with shared lived experience? In what ways could it make it harder? What do you want to discuss around labels? We look forward to joining with new and existing friends!

Join us October 16th for Lotus - a for Q***r Asian (expansive umbrella term, we know) community members. This month’s topic will be “lepoards eating my face.” The title of the meeting is a nod to the idea of unintended consequences—the “leopards” of this metaphor being the very policies some might have supported, only to realize they negatively affect us later. As q***r Asians, we also face unique intersections of marginalization, and this discussion will examine how policy shifts like these can ripple through marginalized communities in ways we might not expect. This discussion will revolve around the ironic consequences of policies and decisions that harm Asian American who may have supported them, such as the result of SCOTUS’s overturning affirmative action in colleges last year. Come join us as we discuss about why this happens and how we can prevent “lepoards” from eating our faces.
