I've been assisting folks with financing their homes for 29 years and I can tell you, if your realtor or lender doesn't understand how important their role is in your life, that they are responsible for making sure your investment is solid, that you know 100% what you are buying, and that they respect the fact that it's your hard earned money that is going into this home (both at closing and in every monthly payment), then you are being disrespected. Fire them and find someone who actually cares. And this applies to the person you hire to list your home as well... I cannot believe the gross negligence I have witnessed recently by sloppy, inexperienced agents who have no idea what they're doing and they end up costing their clients $Thousands due to their ignorance.
