🦁 The petting zoo will be back for a limited time in our Leo's Adventureland area of the Lions Roar this year! 🐷Come see the big pig and his little friends from 1-4 pm, then enjoy an afternoon of jumping and carnival games! 🎫

The Lions are required by law to card everyone who wants to order an alcoholic beverage at our event—no matter how old you look or whether your ID was checked and approved at another establishment.

🦁 Back down on 3rd St NW, we have more food and drinks (featuring Red's Savoy Pizza and Hopkins Noon-Time Lions mini donuts) and expanded activities in Leo's Adventure Land, including kids' jumpers games, face painting, and a petting zoo. PLUS, free eye screenings are available for kids courtesy of Lions KidSight!

🍦 NEW LOCATION for this year's ice cream social will be outside of Premier Banks on Central Ave. Staff will serve delicious free vanilla cones after the parade — courtesy of Two Scoops (while supplies last)! 🤚🛑 STOP BY and congratulate Premier Banks on 50 years of service!

🎫 Enjoy Pull Tabs gaming with Knights of Columbus and Bingo under the Premier Bank drive-through awning following the parade.

💰 The Bean Bag Tournament is also back this year! You and your team can earn bragging rights and cash prizes. 🦁 TODAY's the DAY! We can't wait to welcome you downtown Osseo! This is a citywide celebration, so there are a few things you need to know about 🚔 parking and accessibility this weekend!

🚙 Starting today, between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m., the city will begin blocking off 3rd Street between Central Avenue and 1st Ave NW for the main event area. (Event opens at 4 PM)

This also means the alleyways on either side of 3rd Street will be closed off and have limited access.

🛑 Avoid parking in the alleys, and keep those spaces open for patrons of our business neighbors.

3rd Street will remain closed through 11 pm on Saturday night. 🚓

🚙 Starting Saturday morning, the community will have additional roads blocked for the early morning 5K marathon from 8 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Additional areas are blocked for our fabulous Lions Roar parade, which starts at 12 p.m.

Following the parade, there will be a car show down and around Boerboom Park, where we also have a vendor fair until 3 p.m. So, parking around the park will be closed off for most of the day.

🛑 Avoid parking along Central Avenue on Saturday and along the marathon and parade routes.

We were proud to represent the Osseo Lions Club at the Lions MD5M KidSight booth in the HealthFair11 Building this past week at the MN State Fair. The Lions screened hundreds of young eyes and helped many parents discover unrealized challenges or health concerns of their children. 🦁

See... the thing is, kids don't always know when something is off, and they're very adaptable, so unless you have their eyes screened beyond the standard 20/20 guess-the-letter type of test, you could be missing something very important. That something could affect their ability to learn with kess challenges in school or it could be a sign of something even worse regarding their physical health.

🤓 Please don't assume everything is alright, even if they already have glasses. The screening is free for kids 6 mo to 18yrs and we offer it at numerous events across the Twin Cities all year long. On fsct, we're going to offer more free screenings at this week's Lions Roar downtown Osseo (on Saturday, Sept 7th).
