So I’ve been back at the salon long enough now that I’ve pretty much had a chance to see everyone. Yay!
It feels so good to be back doing what I love! ❤️✂️
I wanted to thank you all so much for your continued love and support through this most difficult time in my life. It truly means the world to me to those that came back after my leave. And all your texts, calls and messages never went unheard. Some I read over and over again. I feel the love and am so grateful! 🙏🏼

I also wanted to take this time to talk about me and where I’m at in my grief journey. It’s been almost 7 months since I lost my baby girl. Some days it feels like just yesterday. Some days it seems like time is going by way too fast and I hate that each day that goes by is another day to count off since I had her in my life.
But there is one thing that has gotten easier. One thing that I couldn’t do in the earlier days.
Talk about her.

I want to talk about Kendra every minute of every day. I want other people who knew Kendra to talk about her. To share memories with me about her. If you didn’t know Kendra, please ask about her! Even if I shed a tear or two or three. It’s ok! I cry regardless. It’s who I am now. I’m not ashamed to cry. Happy or sad tears. I cry in public. In stores when something reminds me of her. In my car at a stoplight when a song comes on that we used to sing together. At home when I’m alone and sad. Baby tears. Ugly tears. I am ONE. BIG. GIANT. TEAR MAKER💧
Don’t apologize for making me cry.
And you can cry around me too. Don’t be ashamed or afraid. It’s natural.
Cause those tears mean the world to me.
Tears mean Kendra was loved.
Tears mean I am loved.
And if you’re not ok talking about her that’s ok too. Everyone grieves differently. Everyone handles a griever differently.
Especially a grieving mother. Losing a child is every parents worst nightmare. No parent wants to go through what I’m going through. I thought losing my dad and sister in my 20’s was hard. I think God said “let’s try her with this one! Hold my wine!”
My faith is definitely being tested. Every day is an uphill battle. But I’m doing it. One day at a time.
So If it’s too hard for you to talk to me about my grief, I understand, maybe just a simple text to me or a ((hug)) next time you see me then.

14 years ago, I never thought I could do it. I was soo scared!! Being a single mom, I was our only income. What if my business failed?? What if I have to work so much, I never see my daughter??
So glad I pushed through those fears!!
Cause here I am!!

I can’t believe it’s almost November!! My appointments are booking up fast. My next availability is 11/14 and only limited spots before Thanksgiving.

I think everyone just wants 2020 to be over!!
With that being said, I’d recommend making your next appts as soon as possible. I’m still only working 3 days a week (12 hour days) and would love for everyone to be able to get in at their requested time/day.

So we all know that there is now a “new normal”. With that being said, I wanted to make sure when I return to work that safety and sanitation are at the forefront. Although I am licensed in that already, you can never stop learning! So just rest assured I will be taking every precaution to insure the safety of every single one of you! See you in June!

12 years ago today I made the decision to open up my own business. I never thought it would still be going strong all these years later. I truly wake up every day excited to go to work. I get to do what I love on people I love. THANKYOU to all who have helped make 12 years possible!
