How do we track you progress as you attend classes? Once we uncover where you’re starting at with bench mark movements and an scan we’ll meet you there and track your consistent progress with our BFT3 monitor! This wearable device during class tracks your personal heart rate zones throughout each class (strength, conditioning, AND cardio) and syncs to your performance app. We can watch trends along the way to see how you’re progressing each week, allowing us to adjust your workout plan & goals as you change📈
We’ve cracked the code on personal training in a group setting. Our dedicated and highly trained coaches are by your side to motivate, educate, inspire and push you to achieve your goals. 🏆

Take a moment to meet one of our fantastic members, Katrina!
Katrina has been on her fitness journey for the majority of her life, trying every program you could think of. She came to BFT with a fear of weight-lifting, but has overcome it with the encouragement of our BFT team!🏋️♀️
BFT attracted Katrina in a few ways, interval training, weight lifting & personal training all in one! She plans to push herself every class and get in the studio 2-3 times a week.
Outside of BFT, she’s even training for her first ever sprint-triathlon! 🏃♀️🚴♀️🏊🏼♀️
Aside from her newest fitness journey, she loves to travel, her role as a mother, and has recently discovered she really enjoys flower arranging! 💐
Katrina is driven by the feeling of moving her body, and what a great feeling it gives!
💬 “This type of joy is my why. It’s taken me a long time to figure this out - and such joy is something I want to give to myself because I deserve it!” (🗣️Yes you do!!!)

At BFT, we offer 14 different programs that coordinate with our system. On strength days, we align our programming and heart rate monitors so that your heart rate is lower and you have appropriate rest time between sets to optimize heavy lifting.
On our cardio days, our team will push you to increase your heart rate and our programming will include shorter rest periods. This enables your body to get next level results 📈
Also, we have the BFT3 system that rewards you for staying in the targeted heart rate zones for every class, not just cardio, but also strength. By following the prescribed heart rate zones in each session, you will receive optimal results!

Meet one of our amazing coaches, Ava! 🤩
Ava is one of our certified trainers you’ll meet here at BFT, and she’s also studying exercise science with a concentration in rehab science at Avila University. She will be your go-to when things are feeling a little off.
Ava also works as an athletic trainer for Avila Universities Football team. In addition, she is also a rehabilitation aide at Athletico Physical Therapy! She loves all things rehab and injury prevention!
Ava played competitive softball all the way into a collegiate level, but after her softball career came to an end due to injury, she became a Head Junior Varsity softball coach at Saint James Academy in Lenexa, Kansas. 🥎
Her favorite part about coaching is getting to see people every step along their fitness journey. No matter if you are just starting or have been here for a while she wants to see you succeed! 💪

When she’s not in the studio or at school, Ava spends time cheering on her boyfriend’s football games and watching reality tv to unwind. 📺 🏈

When you sign up, you’ll get your own monitor to wear each class. These help your trainers to set goals that keep your from plateauing, and in exchange, earn you medals each class!

Get to know your assistant General Manager, coach Eric Chen.
Chances are if you live In the area you probably already know him, as his passion for providing the best health and fitness results and class experiences in our community run deep.
If you haven’t met him yet, you are in for quite the treat, Coach Chen has a super power of making everyone he interacts with leave feeling better than how they came in - his sincerity to help others is unmatched. (And his energy just might give our GM a run for her money. You’ve been warned if they are ever teaching a class together 😅)
Eric’s has been personal training for over a decade and has a background is in sports nutrition and strength and conditioning and spent time working with athletes at Northwest Missouri State University, inside the health and wellness department of globally recognized corporate brands, and was the head coach of Orange Theory fitness for many years.
He is most excited about making the transition to BFT as he will be able to access the level of technology, equipment and programming necessary to truly deliver the results he knows clients deserve.
When he’s not on the clock he’s being a beast in the gym or attending Pilates classes, hanging out with family, binge watching anime(specifically Dragon Ball Z) or you can find him attending festivals, sporting events or even officiating weddings!
If you ever want to bribe him, we suggest troli sour gummy worms, as they are his weakness, but Haribo gummy bears might also get you some leverage
Eric is also trilingual (Mandarin, Taiwanese and English) and has a dream of one day opening a BFT in Taiwan. (We support this 1000000%!)

Welcome to the team your Assistant Head coach, Ryan Young! 🤩🏋️
Coach Young won’t miss a single tiny detail in class, graduating on the Deans List and with Outstanding honors with his Master’s Degree in Kinesiology from K-state, his science based methodology approach is sharp as they come! 🎓🧬He has worked with every population from beginners all the way to professional athlete caliber clients. Ryan will also be a great go-to coach for your Nutritional guidance with his Precision Nutrition LV 1 certification and other specialized knowledge in recovery and exercise physiology. His passion in life is truly to serve others, so he invites you to please ask him all questions you might have as he is eager to share his wealth of knowledge to help you achieve your goals!
When he’s not coaching he enjoys spending time drawing, hiking, jamming out at concerts, attending bible studies, drinking Peanut butter chocolate protein shakes, and of course…working out!
Ryan also recently did a different type of reverse lunge last weekend when he took a knee to propose to his now fiancé!! 💍🎉
