On Sunday, July 21st, GCTD proudly co-sponsored the Nyeland Acres Bike Rodeo hosted by Nyeland Promise at the Nyeland Acres Community Center. 🚴‍♂️🏠

Residents enjoyed bike safety lessons, explored community resources, and took a fun bus ride-along. GCTD staff also presented the Nyeland Acres Transportation Needs Assessment project, gathering valuable feedback on priorities like microtransit and free transit passes. This initiative is funded by the Clean Mobility Options program, helping under-resourced communities overcome mobility challenges with clean, shared, zero-emission transportation solutions.

Experience safe and affordable transportation with our new shared ride, demand-response service for anyone over the age of 16 within the GCTD service area.

Our reliable transportation is available daily from 4:30 AM to 7 AM and 7:00 PM to 12:00 AM. Enjoy the convenience of ride-share style service covering Oxnard, Port Hueneme, Ventura, Ojai, and surrounding areas. Whether you're commuting to work or heading out for an adventure, we've got you covered for just $5.00.

Effective today, we’re updating fares across all services.

The new standard adult base fare for bus services will be $2. Reduced fares for eligible passengers will go to $1 - half of the base fare. Discounted fares are available with purchased pre-paid fare cards. 🚌

With no fare updates in over 10 years, this decision comes after careful consideration and extensive community input that began in January 2024. At GCTD we are committed to delivering quality, essential, and reliable transportation services.
