It's National Arts in Education Week (Sept. 11-17)! This week, we want to emphasize the importance of equitable access to arts education to all learners across our community, city, state, and nation. Market House Theatre's mission is to make the arts accessible to all and strives to accomplish it through initiatives such as a Story Theatre Troupe.
This spring, our Story Theatre Troupe will travel the region to bring theatre to schools! During their trip, they'll reach thousands of students in Illinois, Kentucky, Tennessee, and Missouri.

The costumes for our Summer Workshop production of Disney's Jungle Book KIDS have gone missing! Luckily, a crew of the best young detectives in our region have gathered together to solve the mystery! Will they find the costumes before the show begins rehearsal?! We think so!

What if kids ran the television station? Our young artists are taking over KidsTV as they create their own PSAs to record at the end of the week. Take a peek into the green room at the station to see them hard at work!

Get ready for our popular high-intensity vocal and dance intensive! Whether you are an aspiring Broadway performer or want to try your hand at singing and dancing at the same time, this bootcamp is for you! Learn popular hits and classics from Broadway taught by The Market House Theatre’s top vocal and dance instructors. Dress comfortably and wear jazz shoes. There will be a performance on the final day of bootcamp for family and friends! Vocal instruction by Emily Black and dance instruction by Emi Hensel.

Calling all adults! We're offering two new adult classes for people of all skill levels!
Body Positive: This mat-based movement class is perfect for anyone who needs a safe and gentle space to move their bodies! Using a combination of yoga, Pilates, dance stretch and conditioning, this class is a positive environment for each student to move their bodies at whatever level works for them.
Adult Dance: Dancing isn't just for the kids! This fun and invigorating class is for any adult (age 18+) who has a love of dance! This hour long class will start with a warm-up, and develop technique through across the floor progressions before working on choreography combinations. No experience required!
TOMMOROW is the first class! Taught by our new dance instructor, Emily Suhrheinrich-Weeks, you'll love this experience and the connections you'll make.

The show must go on, including Playtime! Though the weather may have prevented us from having Playtime in the Courtyard, we were able to perform in our soon-to-be -completed Studio Theatre. There's still a lot to finish in the space but, our Clubhouse at the Market House members got a special preview of the space with their Playtime meeting today. We can't wait to see more Clubhouse members at Playtime tomorrow at 10am!

HIIIIIIIIIIII!!! The Puffs are at Market House Theatre and ready to be Third or Nothing! Join the Puffs as they travel through Seven Increasingly Eventful Years at a Certain School of Magic and Magic tonight at 7pm. This play is absolutely J. Finch approved!

What if the kids ran the television station? What kind of shows would you want to see? In this kid-made class, cooperation abounds as every kid will collaborate to create their very own TV show! Small groups will write and design anything from game shows to comedies all to be shared as a LIVE stage production in our Studio Classroom on the last day.

☀️Summer Workshop | Disney's Newsies JR.☀️
Set in 1899, newsboy Jack Kelly rallies the other newsies from across the city to strike against unfair conditions in this youth adaptation of the hit Broadway show. This intensive experience starts with each member of the camp preparing a 30-second to one-minute audition piece with a cut of a song from a musical. At the audition, they will learn a choreographed moment from the show and read from the script to try out for parts. Everyone gets a role and spends 2 weeks singing, dancing, and building characters leading up to two performances of the show.
