Memorial Day serves as a time preserving the legacy of the courage, dedication, and sacrifice of our nation's brave men & women who made the ultimate sacrifice for our freedoms.

As you celebrate this long weekend, be sure to pause and thank those who fought for our country but never made it home. We encourage you celebrate this holiday weekend safely & take time to think of those brave men, women, & their families.

Scammers are becoming more sophisticated, so it's important to stay informed while being cautious of unsolicited texts, emails, calls, voicemails and/or letters asking for your personal information or access to your online devices.

🔒 Here are a few tips to stay one step ahead:

𝗧𝗿𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝗬𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗜𝗻𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗰𝘁𝘀: If it feels off, it probably is. Don't hesitate to question unexpected messages, calls, or mail.

𝗗𝗼𝗻'𝘁 𝗖𝗹𝗶𝗰𝗸, 𝗗𝗼𝗻'𝘁 𝗦𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗲: Avoid clicking on links or sharing personal info unless you're certain of the sender's legitimacy. Look at the link and make sure it really is for that company. If you aren't confident, don't click it.

𝗖𝗵𝗲𝗰𝗸 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗥𝗲𝗱 𝗙𝗹𝗮𝗴𝘀: Misspellings, generic greetings, and urgent language are common signs of scams. If they can't spell, they probably aren't representing a large company needing your information or money.

𝗩𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗳𝘆 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗰𝘁: Confirm the identity of the person and the organization they're representing before sharing any information. Verify their badge number or employee id, intentionally mess up their name to see if they correct you, and ask them pertinent information about the business they're pretending to be.
