We have rebuilt and upgraded the 200 yard target per requests. The 200 yard now has a paper target board, and the 100 yard paper target board has been renewed. Shooters are reminded to please make sure you keep your rounds inside and below the orange barriers, but not on the orange barriers to help preserve the longevity of the target stands.

Please remember. Pistol bay steel is for pistols only. 50 Yard steel is for Rimfire and Pistol calibers only. No high-power rifles or shotguns allowed on 50 yard steel. 100 Yard steel is for non-magnum calibers only. Thank You!

We overhauled and upgraded the pistol range. We made it 3 times larger and now have a beefier berm between the pistol and rifle bays. We also expanded the parking area to 4 times its original size. The new size and design of the pistol bay allows for more obstacles, barricades, and props for training shooting and moving or drawing form the holster safely. Come on out and see us soon!

We have upgraded some of the targets, added some new ones, and the new signs are up as a friendly reminder of the range rules. We hope to see you soon!

PSA - Important Information. We regularly get customers in with rifles that were "Zeroed" at major big box sporting goods stores on the bench that are off. Today we had a 308 that was purchased and "bench zeroed" but was 8 inches off at 50 yards and off the paper entirely at 100 yards. It is very important to live fire confirm and zero your rifle. Not only will your zero change with different ammunition, but also bench zeros are often just a guestimate and not an accurate means of zero. Laser bore sights are not advised at all. We have had to fix numerous rifles this hunting season that were zeroed in this method. Save yourself the time and money, do it right the first time. Live fire zero and zero check your rifles!

Plane to visit a National or State Park? Navigating LTC vs Permit-less carry can require a little research. Just look at the Alamo. We will be offering Hunter Education Classes starting this December. If you would like to attend, please comment below or send us a message so we can get an idea of class sizes. Every hunter in the state of Texas must successfully complete hunter education. Minimum age for certification is 9 years old. If you are 17 years of age or younger you must attend an in-person class. The cost of this class is $15.

State Fair Of Texas Hack:

Take a photo with your Kids, Family, & Friends before you go into the State Fair. No one ever plans on getting separated but it happens and you will have an up to date photo to help re-locate them.

We have made some more improvements this past month! With hunting season around the corner, come out and get your practice in or your rifle zeroed! We are the only shooting range in the area with a day time use Thermal/Night vision reactive target for zeroing! Just point and shoot, works just like a shoot and see target but for thermals and night vision! We also have add multiple height adjustable ambidextrous shooting benches. We are also one of the very few ranges in the metroplex that allow drawing from a holster to practice concealed carry or duty pistol draws!

Rifle, Muzzle Loader, Shotgun range can now support up to 4 shooters at a time. This range has steel and paper targets. The shooting benches also have adapters that convert them into work benches to hold your rifle while you work on it!

Rifle, Pistol 50 yard range: great for zeroing, rimfire, and long range pistol!.

You still need a Texas LTC & USACE Letter by law to carry a firearm at certain lakes. This is a Federal Law, and these lakes are under the control of the US Army Corps of Engineers. We can help you get your LTC so you can obtain your letter to legally carry at one of these lakes!

Just a Friendly FYI. The US Army Corps of Engineers requires an LTC and a Letter to carry on USACE property. USACE has 26 districts with recreational properties. All 26 districts require an individual letter. The letters expire after 5 years. It is required you have an LTC to obtain a letter (no Permit-Less carry). Below is a map of the districts. Their are 31 lakes in the State of Texas that fall under this prevue alone, over 400 nationwide. The 31 lakes under the USACE in Texas are "Aquilla, Bardwell, Belton, Benbrook, Buffalo, Caddo, Canyon, Cooper, Georgetown, Granger, Grapevine, Hordes Creek, Joe Pool, Lake o' The Pines, Texoma, Lavon, Lewisville, Navaro Mills, OC Fisher, Pat Mayes, Proctor, Ray Roberts, Sam Rayburn, Somerville, Steinhagen, Stillhouse Hollow, Truscott Brine, Waco, Wallisville, Whitney, Wright Patman." Texas falls under 4 districts. If you plan to visit lakes in different districts than each district requires its own letter of permission.
