We thank you for your concern and want to share that most are okay... some college students have had flooding in their accommodations (in Nairobi) and suffered losses and schools are closed until the 8 May as it stands at the moment.
But, we wanted you to see that Bloom's work carries on! This video was taken by our brave young man who delivering the grains as part of the monthly supplies for some desperately needy families of primary students.

We are delighted that the King and Queen are visiting our beloved Kenya! Pity they don't have our school on their itinerary, but we know they would pleased with what they would find there if they could visit... and, they love libraries as much as we do (see profile picture!)

A major reason (but, not the ONLY reason!) for supporting children in Kenya is to teach them to look after their wildlife! We always explain that we originally visited Kenya in order to see the animals, but we have gone back (many times) because of the children... and, they never would have had our love and assistance without the animals drawing us in!
Thanks to the Kenya Wildlife Service for looking after all of the wonderful creatures in their national parks! Two of our students have graduated from Kenya Wildlife college and are gainfully employed... another is entering now and will be a star there, I feel sure!
Regarding this photo, I believe she is thanking him for taking such good care of the eggs and saying "I've got it from here!"
This Sunday, embrace the beauty of nature with your family at a KWS park near you! A perfect escape for quality family time.

âEducation is the answer...â
Wise words we often read in letters written by âour childrenâ in Kenya. They are aware that the only way they can break the cycle of poverty is with a good education. That is our mission... to provide education, making it possible for children to âBloomâ and become fine young people and good citizens in their own country. These graduates are outstanding examples of our first harvest!
