Can you hear that Panther ROAR! The energy at yesterday's all-school assembly could be felt across campus 🐾🧡
On Sunday, Poly parent leaders hosted an incredible K-12 Back to School Picnic that brought the best vibes to campus! Student musicians provided live music, and many of Poly's special interest groups and clubs were represented at every divisional level. Huge thanks to our Parent Organizations for hosting this community event, which we hope will continue for years to come!
Welcome back to the Lower School! And for our newest community members, welcome to Poly! It's been a fantastic week with even more smiles and learning to come ☀️✏️🧡
Welcome to the new school year! We are thrilled to have Upper and Middle School students back on campus. The energy is electric! ⚡️🐾🧡 Stay tuned for more pics from our first day of Lower School.
Welcome back to Poly's Faculty and Staff! We can't wait to see students next week for the start of school 🐾✏️🍎
A heartfelt thank you to all of our donors! 🐾🧡
Looking back at our 2024 End of Year events... thank you to these inspiring speakers! 🧡
Earlier this year, NBC4 Meteorologist Belen De Leon visited the Class of 2036! The kinders got an up-close look at the Storm Ranger weather truck and learned from Belen in their classroom–they even got NBC4 swag. Thanks for visiting, NBC4!
Happy summer! For some of our social media posts this season, we will revisit the 2023-2024 school year. Up first, Supreme Court presentations in the Middle School! Every year, seventh graders have the opportunity to write legal briefs and present oral arguments in front of a panel of justices (made up of volunteers from around the school and parents with legal backgrounds). Check out our budding lawyers in action.
Bravo to our promoting eighth graders! We are thrilled to welcome you to your Upper School years 🎓️🎉

Cheers to the last week of school! Here are some special end-of-year moments to reflect on, including Chalk Day, Medieval Day, and Backyard R***e. We are so excited to celebrate Commencement and Promotion this week! 🧡 🐾
Mirroring the start of the school year's “Senior Sunrise," the Class of 2024 celebrated “Senior Sunset” on the last night of the class Outdoor Ed trip to Kern River. These bookends of senior year are a new Poly tradition we hope to celebrate for years to come!
Acorns to Oak Trees is a beloved Poly tradition in which seniors who have just finished their classes and Lower School students work and play together on North Campus. It’s just one of the many cross-divisional events that make Poly a special place. This year, students played board games together, completed interactive science demonstrations, and created art projects.
Prom 2024 was something special! Huge thanks to Ms. Williams and Ms. Garcia-Macedonio for organizing this spectacular event at the Biltmore Hotel in Downtown Los Angeles. The huge group of faculty chaperones that came out to support the evening speaks volumes about how much we care about our students and our school. Check out the amazing outfits and backdrop from the evening.
This past weekend, Poly competed at the CIF State Championships for swimming for the first time in school history! (Poly has qualified in the past, but this was the first year the team attended.) Julia P. ’25 finished in 33rd place state-wide for the girls' 50 freestyle, while Michael M. ’24, Bobby H. ‘24, Brandon S. ’26, and Oliver M. ’25 finished in 27th place state-wide for the boys' 200 freestyle relay. Please join us in congratulating these athletes!
The 107th Annual Poly Pet and Hobby Show took over campus on April 26! This schoolwide community event featured a maypole dance, dog show, dunk tank, carnival games, activity booths, and more. Huge thanks to our PPHS co-chairs extraordinaire, Debby Kumar P ’34, ’32, and Stephen Bialecki P ’34, ’32, and our dozens of parent/guardian volunteers for an incredible afternoon of fun memories!
Our heartfelt thanks to each and every one of the over 750 donors who contributed to Poly’s Giving Day! Together, we celebrate a collective achievement of $1 million for Poly. This year’s Giving Day was nothing short of phenomenal, and it happened due to the dedication and kindness of our remarkable community. Thank you!
On Poly Giving Day 2022 and 2023, hundreds of Poly Panthers across the country responded! Today, we are thrilled to provide an update to the community about the Alex Gray ’97 Media Lab and the positive impact it has already had on the Poly student experience.

Your donation of any size will be matched 1:3, up to $50,000!
Join us on April 17 for Poly Giving Day!
Poly Giving Day is a 24-hour celebration of Poly and the power of giving back. It’s a special opportunity for alumni, parents, grandparents, friends, faculty, staff, and Panthers around the world to come together in support of every person, program, activity, and space that forms the Poly experience.
On Monday, all three divisions of Poly watched the solar eclipse. Through special glasses, keyhole apparatuses, and Sunspotter solar telescopes, the student community witnessed the crossing of the moon between the sun and earth. Check out these smiling observers!
On April 2, Poly proudly hosted civil rights activist Mrs. Ruby Bridges. Many students learn about how Mrs. Bridges ushered in desegregation by attending a formerly all-white elementary school in New Orleans in 1960. Mrs. Bridges spoke candidly with our students about her experience as a six-year-old with the world watching. She honestly shared how she made sense of the adults who were boycotting her presence at Frantz Elementary and pulling their kids out of the school, the impact of this decision on her family, and the profound loneliness she felt being the only child in her grade for an entire year. We appreciate Mrs. Bridges sharing her story and taking questions from our Lower School students. Her actions and time with the Poly community were inspiring!
