After a challenging journey with DCFS, one of our clients recently reached a heartwarming milestone: her child was returned to her care. Through unwavering dedication, she not only mastered essential parenting and life skills but also secured stable housing for her family. Her resilience and determination in applying these skills in real-life situations have created a safe and loving home environment, marking a hopeful new chapter for her and her child.
This story is a testament to her perseverance and the vital role of support through our Family Advocacy Center. We extend our gratitude to our board, donors, and friends of the agency, whose support makes success stories like this possible.

Crisis Nursery recently helped a family facing tough times. We received a call from a mother who had been staying at a cramped and uncomfortable shelter, making it nearly impossible for anyone to get solid rest. We provided safe, consistent care for her child for multiple days while mom secured a safe place for them to stay. During this time, the child received solid rest, warm meals, and hours of meaningful care from our dedicated nursery staff.

Recently, one of our Parent Educators has been working with a mom who previously used our Crisis Nursery services and needed guidance to achieve her goal of obtaining her GED. With five children, it has been a challenge for her to pursue this goal. Thanks to a connection at The Moonlight Coalition, our Parent Educator was able to enroll her in classes that fit her schedule and allow her to work at her own pace. She is excited to get started and hopes her children will see her hard work and determination and feel proud of her. We will continue to meet with her to help her stay on track and overcome any obstacles that may arise.
At Crittenton Centers, we understand that navigating life as a parent can be challenging. We're here to offer guidance, reassurance, and resources to parents who need a little extra help.
