In today's contemporary church scene, worship often divides into two camps: those focused solely on spiritual depth and others on technical excellence. But when we prioritize one over the other, our worship becomes imbalanced, failing to fully honor God. Vocalists, in particular, often overlook the need for both spiritual devotion and technical proficiency, forgetting that the voice is a unique instrument, yes an INSTRUMENT.🤯

By uniting spiritual depth with technical excellence, we offer a worship that glorifies God in a profound way, reflecting His infinite beauty and greatness. As Isaiah reminds us, we are created for God's glory, and our worship should echo His greatness and beauty.🙏

Embracing both spiritual depth and technical excellence enriches our worship journey and embodies the essence of authentic worship. Let's heed the call of Psalm 96:1-3, declaring God's glory among the nations. What a privilege it is to sing to the Lord and proclaim His marvelous works!

How do we develop the Worship Voice? Is it all Spiritual or all Technical? I believe it has to be both. If we focus on one, the ministry becomes lopsided and cuts us off from a holistic view of who God is, cheapening our worship of Him and to Him. Ultimately our teams and congregations suffer greatly.

Gang’s all here… rehearsal time, and I love it so so much! 🎤 As many singers experience there have been times of frustration and burn out and I have had them. But at the end of the day, when I put work into my voice and then get to use it, it is just so stinkin’ fun.
If you are in a time of frustration or burn out try something different, maybe a different style, a different warm up routine, shake it up and shake off the cobwebs, the other side it great! 🎶You’ll find your voice again or maybe for the first time! As you are ever changing, so is your voice. Meet it with grace.
