Draw the Lines (DTL) is a civic education and engagement competition that launched in spring 2018. More than 7,200 citizen mappers helped complete 1,500 maps.
In 2018, the Committee of Seventy launched Draw the Lines, a statewide civic education initiative for Pennsylvanians to bring transparency and engagement to redistricting. It puts the same digital tools that the political operatives use to draw gerrymandered maps into the hands of citizens of all ages across the Commonwealth, so that they can draw their own maps and show how citizen involvement le
