For years, CultureWorks has stood as a beacon of support and resources for the Greater Philadelphia region’s arts scene. The recent closure of UArts this past Friday, June 7th, has highlighted the fragility within our community. This loss is profound and will continue to be felt for some time.
We want everyone to know: Our doors are open, and our staff is ready to help. From artist resources, collaboration opportunities, and art openings to community needs yet to be realized, we are committed to ensuring that our brilliant, robust, and active arts community has everything it needs.
Over the past two weeks, we have gathered resources and are now presenting them to the community to demonstrate our commitment to being a tangible resource. To support those affected, we have compiled resources for students, faculty, staff, and community members. Additionally, we will be hosting a furniture giveaway for the community on June 22 from 10am - 5pm. More resources and details can be found here: https://www.cultureworksphila.org/resources
Our hearts go out to the entire UArts community. Be kind to yourself. Support each other. We are here for all of you. 💜
