Biomechanics Made Simple
One of the most important missions of the human nervous system is to fight gravity at any cost, in hopes of maintaining and protecting the integrity of the spine.
The irony is that humans voluntarily fight gravity to wreak havoc on the very same precious spine!
This pugelent effort to disrupt our posture ranges from passive sitting to aggressive entertaining athletic activities.
One main principle of biomechanics is the brain's goal to bring balance and harmony to the human frame. The way this is accomplished is by using muscles to help keep the head even on the shoulders, so the eyes are parallel to the horizon. If one's head is uneven to the horizon, the challenges of daily life would become quite insurmountable.
When the eyes are parallel to the horizon or the ground, one can get through their "to do list" more effectively than if their body were off kilter.
The state of being "off kilter" is the most common complaint that chiropractors hear.
The brain uses the low back as the body's center of gravity. From there, the spinal muscles are recruited to keep the eyes parallel to the horizon.
A good example of spinal distortion is kyphosis, the state of a person with a hump back. One will always notice that whether a kyphosis or scoliosis is present, a person's head will still be upward so their eyes are even to the ground(allowing the person to navigate their world as effectively as possible).
Simply put, the brain uses the spinal muscles from the back to the neck to maximize the way humans fight gravity.
Now consider yourself certified to teach this simple principle of spinal biomechanics.
Chiropractic plays a massive role in the
war on drugs, specifically when it comes to
the opioid epidemic where the treatment
of pain can be managed with wider use
of chiropractic care. Chiropractic care is
designed to treat the condition afflicting the
patient in hopes of healing and long-term
solutions. Today, opioids are prescribed for
pain and are only treating the pain symptom
of the patient - they are not designed to
cure or heal any of the root causes of pain,
although they are prescribed as medication.
If you have chronic pain, consider a non-prescription pathway to healing!

Low Level Light Therapy - Conditions treated:
Cold laser therapy beams light energy at your skin to reduce pain and inflammation deep within an area of your body, like your knee. It’s used to treat knee pain from osteoarthritis (OA), as well as low back pain, carpal tunnel syndrome, rheumatoid arthritis (RA), fibromyalgia, tendinitis, nerve pain, and sports injuries.
How do cold laser therapy devices (low laser light therapy), work?
Cold laser therapy devices can promote tissue regeneration, wound healing and muscle recovery; reduce inflammation and relieve pain; and stimulate the growth of new blood vessels. LLLT is used in injury rehabilitation – and specifically for joint damage – due to its anti-inflammatory and pain relief properties.
LLLT (low laser light therapy) is thought to work when the light an LLLT device emits passes through the skin into the body, where it stimulates the energy and respiration centers of cells – mitochondria – resulting in greater cell energy, communication, nutrition, growth and life.
LLLT is used to reduce inflammation, the most common cause of musculoskeletal pain. Research has shown that it reduces the cells and enzymes responsible for causing inflammation and increases antioxidant and anti-inflammatory enzymes.
If you feel like dancing this summer, make sure your joints are doing what you tell them to do!
Most young adults don't expect to suffer from back pain, it is usually associated with people who are much older. However, in your mid twenties to early thirties, it is possible to suddenly start experiencing lower back pain. This kind of soreness can be very debilitating and severely affect your quality of life. It is best to address it immediately to get a combination of pain relief and stabilizing exercises.
