We’re staying open an extra hour this week (5pm) and will have Grab-n-Go Forbidden Bowls, Burmese Chickpea Bowls and Mohinga, beverages, pastries the last hour to take-out. Already cooked, just take home to reheat or enjoy as is.

We’ll be closed from May 25 - June 4th for staff training, menu development and testing deliveries to the surrounding suburbs. Then, we’re reopening on June 5th and staying open until 8pm!

In the meantime, our new meal prep menu and delivery service to the suburbs is live!

June 5th will be the start of our new menu! A few hints: Imperials rolls will be available for pre-order and Forbidden Burritos are making a comeback on the daily menu!

I’m obsessed with my mom’s vintage glamour shots from 1950-60’s Burma!

Just want to say to all the mamas out there who are grinding away doing right for your kids, I salute you!

My mom was TOUGH! (Can you relate?!)

We fought a lot, and I cried a lot during my teen years because she was so, so strict! She always pushed me to do better and be better, and I thank her everyday for it. (Once I got to college, everything she did for me made sense!!!)

If you’re a tough mama keeping your kids in line, they and the world will thank you! My mom really helped me become a happy adult. All of that discipline and structure helped me feel safe and confident to follow my dreams.

Today marks 10 years on Locust Street. I actually started Pure Sweets (that’s what P.S. stands for!) 16 years ago, when I turned 30. I wanted to work for myself from that age on, and it’s been the wildest journey. The most rewarding and the hardest at the same time. There are many days I want to give up, but I think of all you, and you inspire me to keep going!

Come in and celebrate with us all weekend. We’re soon changing up our savory menu and offerings to focus on scaling our best-selling items and delivering to all of you outside of Philly!
