I was joined by the leadership of the Marian Anderson Historical Residence and Museum today to present a check for $250,000 to help the non-profit with operating expenses and to complete renovations to the facility. The goal is to reopen the Museum by April`2023.

On behalf of my family and staff, we want to wish everyone a Happy Thanksgiving from our Team Johnson family to yours.

There are so many things my family is thankful for this year, but one of the top things on my list is the pleasure to serve the 160,000 residents of the Second Council District, which includes parts of South Philadelphia, Southwest Philadelphia, and Center City. Our wish is that you have a wonderful holiday filled with the warmth and happiness of the season..

My office also made Thanksgiving meals possible to 200 people this year in the Second District with our yearly turkey giveaway. Thank you to Live Hotel and Casino Philadelphia and The Bellwether District-An HRP Project for participating in our turkey giveaways this year.

My City Hall office will be closed from Wednesday, November 23 through Friday, November 25 for the Thanksgiving holiday and will reopen on Monday, November 28.
