We wanted to thank you and all the wonderful parishioners and staff who helped make this past week a success. The Family Promise families were very grateful to have good food and safe rooms to sleep in during their time at Corpus Christi. Here are a few pictures of the different themed nights.

Thank you again for allowing us to use the parish center. The families had a blast, but the biggest gift was the opportunity to serve them.

The fifteenth annual Knights’ Kids Christmas Shopping Event will take place on Saturday, December 2. This event is hosted by the Corpus Christi Knights of Columbus Council 10062 with the assistance of JCPENNEY Ahwatukee and store associates.

As in previous years’ events, a group of children attending the Frank School in Guadalupe will be shopping with the Knights of Columbus and other volunteers. It is expected that as many as 50 children could be in the group. Each volunteer and child will shop with a list of items which could total as much as $125.00 per child. JCPENNEY and associates provide treats and a gift for each child. Additional details will be given at the event.

Yes, we need volunteers! Participation in this event is open to all parishioners. Volunteers under 18 years old should be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. Our volunteers must have completed the Diocese of Phoenix Safe Environment Training course. If you need to complete the Safe Environment Training, please visit phoenix.cmgconnect.org.

Volunteers are asked to come to the JCPENNEY Ahwatukee store on Saturday, December 2 at 7:30AM. Registration and child assignments will take place before the children arrive. Volunteers, please use better judgement if you are not feeling well enough that day.

In addition to volunteers we welcome monetary donations of any amount. Checks should be payable to: Knights of Columbus 10062 Charities, Inc. with “Knights’ Kids” entered on the memo line. Kindly consider mailing donations in advance to: Knights of Columbus 10062 Charities, Inc., Corpus Christi Catholic Church, 3550 E. Knox Road, Phoenix, AZ 85044. Donations will also be accepted at the store on Saturday, December 2 between 7 and 8 AM.

World Day of the Poor is this Sunday, November 19. St. Vincent de Paul will hand out blessing bags this weekend after each Mass. Please take a bag, or a few, and give them to the homeless on the streets or someone in need.

Also, please remember to bring in your grocery bags filled with food this weekend for our Fall Food Drive. We have more families in need this year than usual, with 70 families needing Thanksgiving food boxes. Our pantry is virtually empty, and we urgently need food donations!

This year’s All Saints Trunk or Treat was so much fun! We want to give a big thank you to Debbie Lambert for organizing the event and Jane Waypa, Mari Rubio, and Laura Celentano for their leadership as well. We also want to thank our trunk hosts, volunteers, and the many people who donated candy and sweets. Last but not least, a huge thank you goes to our Knights of Columbus for feeding us delicious brats and dogs! Have a safe and happy Halloween everyone! 🎃

As pro-life Catholics, we affirm the humanity of infants who were never able to live outside their mothers’ wombs. Many in our parish and beyond have suffered from infant loss. Please join us in this Mass as we recognize their suffering and offer healing through the Holy Eucharist.

For those interested, a representative from Rachel's Vineyard will also be present after the Mass.

All young adults are welcome to come to our "Christ in Our Corner" series this Friday, October 6 at 7:00pm - 8:30pm in the Youth Room (rooms 7, 8, & 9)! Ages 18-28 are welcome. We will have light refreshments and food. Contact Laura for more information: [email protected].

Today (October 1st) is the Feast Day of St. Therese of the Child Jesus and the Holy Face. She is also known as the "Little Flower." Her biography, The Story of a Soul, has inspired millions of people. Her parents are also Saints - Louis and Zelie Martin.

To honor Our Lady of the Rosary and make her known by all mankind, the Holy Rosary, and the Litany of Our Blessed Mother Virgin Mary will be prayed in the church from Sept. 28 to Oct 7. On Oct 7 (the feast day), the celebration will include the exposition of the Blessed Sacrament, Adoration, and Benediction besides the Holy Rosary.

The main intention of the Novena is to promote praying the Holy Rosary at our schools and our homes, to make our Blessed Mother Mary known, loved and honored by all mankind. Prior to the celebration, there will be an online sign up for prayer intentions and leading the Holy Rosary. May God the Holy Spirit guide us and inspire us to take part in honoring Our Blessed Mother. We hope you will join us.

Friends, my mother passed away last night. She was 101 years old and was beloved by my family and so many friends. Her own and my father’s quiet, steadfast and resolute dedication to their Catholic Faith awakened in me a deep love for Christ and the Church. Please join me in prayer for the repose of her soul and may all the faithful departed find in the mercy of Christ beatitude and peace.

JPII Basketball Classic grows to bigger venue - The Catholic Sun It’s Game On! The St. John Paul II (JPII) Classic, an annual basketball game between priests and seminarians from the Diocese of Phoenix, has moved to a bigger location to accommodate larger crowds due to growing popularity.

🙏 A heartfelt thank you to Corpus Christi Catholic Church for opening their doors and hearts to the families we serve! 🌟 Their incredible team of volunteers went above and beyond, creating a week-long experience that was nothing short of magical. 🎉 From a "night at the beach" that transported us to tropical paradises to an evening at the carnival filled with laughter and joy, and even a superhero themes night that made our little ones feel like real-life heroes, every single moment was truly unforgettable. 💖 The love and dedication poured into every detail, from the costumes to the decor, created an atmosphere of pure delight for everyone involved. 🌈 We are forever grateful for Corpus Christi Catholic Church and their incredible team for making our incredible families feel cherished and creating memories that will last a lifetime. 🙌

All the miracles in the collection are Church-approved. The exhibition has been to hundreds of parishes, traveling around the world, and is now coming here!

Please join Tina Glenn, a certificated Spiritual Director, for a time of pondering and praying with scripture. With talks, meditations, and time for personal prayer and reflection, Tina will help us grow in trust of God’s redeeming love.

Bring a sack lunch, a pen, notebook or journal, and a sweater if you tend to get cold with the AC blowing. Bibles will be available for use, but feel free to bring your own.

Our theme for this celebration is "Family and the Eucharist." Fr. Rey would like to invite 5 families each day to come together and lead a decade of the Rosary and encourage all families to come and pray for their intentions and the intentions of other parishioners.
