We are sorry to pass on the sad news of the passing of fellow tamburaš +John “Booch” Bukvich. He was a current member of the Ponovo Tamburitza Orchestra of Los Angeles and also often filled in locally with the Jedinstvo Tamburica Orchestra of Phoenix. A veteran of 50+ years of playing tambura music, he was also a long time member of the famous Dunav Orchestra of South Chicago in addition to Adam Popovich’s large tamburitza orchestra. He will be sadly missed by his fellow tamburaši across the country and the countless people he so enjoyed entertaining over the many years. Rest in peace dear friend. It was an honor and pleasure playing with you. +Vječnaja Pamjat +Memory Eternal 🙏🏻

As President of our Steven Hristich Serbian Choir I would like to thank all of our St. Sava parishioners that supported us this past weekend as we hosted our Kumovi , The Desanka Maksimovic Choir of Boston, MA.

Saturday night's concert & dance was enjoyed by all. A special thank you goes to Gavrilo Princip Senior Dance Group and our own St. Sava Junior Choir for making our program even more special. Our honored guest choir sang beautifully. Seeing so many of their young members makes the future of the Serbian Singing Federation more bright. After the program it was wonderful seeing everyone enjoying the music and dancing to Orkestar Srbija. Fun was had by all.

On Sunday our guest choir sang beautifully for liturgy & we celebrated our Slava "Presentation of the Lord" following Divine Liturgy with a luncheon and great tamburica music by Jedinstvo. Thank you to all of our dear parishioners that stayed to help us celebrate and for your very generous donations. Your support does not go unnoticed by any of our choir members.

Spending time with our guest and getting to know them is what being in a choir of the Singing Federation is all about.

Lastly, I want to thank our choir members. Your commitment to singing in Church every Sunday & attending rehearsals every Wednesday is a testimony for your love in our Orthodox Faith. In addition, each and every one of you went above & beyond with planning & executing this event so that it was first-rate. We are small but mighty!
