Each year, our team members take part in our Adopt-A-Charity program. Eeach team member is encouraged to select a charity to support with a donation on behalf of the Chaffin Luhana Foundation.

For the past few weeks, we've highlighted the different organizations we contributed to. Thank you to these organizations for working each day to make a difference, and thank you to our team members for choosing to support these incredible charities.

This year, we donated on behalf of team members to many different charities covering topics such as animal welfare, medical research and resources, environmental protection, mental health awareness, and more.

We look forward to our 2023 Adopt-A-Charity event, and hope we've inspired others to this season.

The final group of charities our team has chosen to support this year all focus on fighting food insecurity and homelessness within communities.

Today, we continue to highlight the organizations selected by our team members for our end-of-the-year charity donations.

Our team has chosen to support organizations that advocate for a healthy environment, helping children in need, helping children with cancer, fair education funding, and teaching children how to grow their own food.

Today, we continue to highlight the charities our team members have chosen to support this year. The following charities support veterans who have served our country and those in our communities who are struggling with mental health concerns in different ways.

The National Alliance on Mental Illness educates, supports, & advocates for those who are struggling with their mental health. The Trevor Project provides su***de prevention & crisis intervention while advocating and educating the public on the needs of LGBTQ+ young people. Semper Fi & America's Fund is dedicated to providing immediate financial assistance and lifetime support to our wounded, ill, and injured service members, veterans, and their families. K9s For Warriors has a mission of ending veteran su***de and returning our veterans to a life of dignity and independence.

We are proud of our team for choosing such essential charities to support and donate to.

Turkey Giveaway day 2 was a success and wrapped up our 2022 event. Thank you to everyone who helped make today and this event such a success. We are grateful to be in the position to help others and are glad so many people were able to make it out to get their free turkey.

We are excited to continue our partnership with Steelers Running Back, Najee Harris and we have teamed up to award one deserving high school student in the greater Pittsburgh community with a scholarship and a pep rally at their school hosted by Najee!

The “Najee Harris Student of the Year Award” will be given to one student who exemplifies the Doing Good by Doing Right™ values, including the achievement of excellence, making an impact in the school and/or community, displaying a team mindset, and demonstrating compassion toward others.

For every touchdown Najee scores this season, the Chaffin Luhana Foundation will add $500 to the scholarship award! Najee’s aiming for 20 TD’s this year so that’s a $10,000 scholarship!

This past weekend was our Pittsburgh and West Virginia Team Picnic. We had perfect weather, great food, games, and raffles, raising $750 in donations that the Chaffin Luhana Foundation was proud to match, totaling $1,500 to be donated to Mid-Atlantic Mothers' Milk Bank an organization dedicated to ensuring that medically fragile infants have the life-saving human milk they need to thrive.

Our contribution will help offset the costs to keep milk processing fees low and provide charitable care including the Milk Bank's income-based sliding scale program for medically necessary outpatient milk that is not covered by insurance.

Every year, we ask our team members to select a charity they’d like to support with a donation on behalf of the Chaffin Luhana Foundation.

After weeks of highlighting the different organizations we contributed to, our incredible 2021 Adopt-a-Charity program has come to a close. Thank you to all of our team members for choosing to support these many deserving organizations.

This year, we donated on behalf of team members to different charities, spanning topics like mental health awareness, environmental protection, women and children’s health and support, medical resources and research, social justice and advocacy, and more.

We look forward to continuing to support organizations that are meaningful to our organization, our team members, and our communities. We hope we may have inspired others to as well.
