Our shower floor tile layout is a work of art 😬. I decided to go with a rustic but refined design for our 8x4ft primary bath. The shower is roughly 3x4ft. We had to do a linear drain (under the blue tape) along the curb, because of the plumbing placement, and that meant the shower pan had to be meticulously sloped in multiple directions to ensure all the water finds its way down the drain.
They’re installing the rest of the floor (outside the shower) today. It’ll be the same tile but without the border around the perimeter. Keeping the same floor throughout the whole bathroom will help make the room look longer than it would if you did a different tile in the shower.
In this tiny 14 sqft powder room we changed everything except the stained glass window and its marble sill. We found the best possible layout for the space, and added fresh personality that complemented the colors and pattern in the stained glass window, as well as the personalities of the homeowners.
Previously the floor was a large rust-colored ceramic tile that continued in from the foyer. We changed it to a small grey & white marble mosaic with a diamond pattern, which was a better scale for the space, and also added a timeless charm. Wall & ceiling color is SW Composed.
Project:
Setting the mood for a modern lodge wet bar currently in the works ✨🍸 … with leathered black granite, a black quartz sink, “Autumn” stained Alder wood cabinets, a honey gold faucet with dark wood handle (which happens to perfectly match the color of the wood cabinets 👏🏻), and black & gold wallpaper (yay Pittsburgh!).
Here are 3 of my favorite looks we put together for our client’s “Diamond in the Rough” powder room in Allison Park. We used their stained glass window as the main focal point of the room. The bottom half of the wall will be white wainscoting with a chair rail and picture frame moulding. The top half of the wall and the ceiling will be painted green (originally we proposed blue but then we changed to a lighter & brighter blueish-green). The space is very tight so we chose a narrow sink BUT it has a tempered glass shelf which provides some storage underneath. In lieu of countertop space, we presented ideas for a wall mounted soap holder, and two wall mounted corner shelves (not shown here) which can hold things like a candle and small plant.
It’s been a little over a year since I showed my face on here (clearly I am a bit camera shy). So I just wanted to pop myself in here and say “hello”. Thank you for taking an interest in my projects and my point of view as a designer. I’m glad you’re here. I hope you’ll stick around because we have lots of fun projects in the works for this year.
At the moment we have 8 projects in progress, including custom upholstery, room decorating, custom built-ins, and several remodeling projects. We’re currently booking new projects for Spring & Summer so if you’re interested in working together, send me a message or fill out the contact form on our website.

We’ve been working on a whole home remodel of a 1980s Tudor. Here you see the design renderings of the new heart of the home. The family room, kitchen, and dining room at the back of the house are being opened up and merged together to create the new integrated kitchen & family room you see here. There will also be a dining room at the front of the home, in the room which is currently a formal living room.
In kitchens that have a lot of cabinetry, it’s good to use more than one cabinet color so there’s not too much of the same thing. In this kitchen we used 3 cabinetry colors, plus we have a few upper cabinets with glass doors to add variety. What do you think about this color combo?
One of my promises to myself for this year was to carve out time at least one weekend per month to do drawing and painting. I kept it simple for day one. It always feels very therapeutic to create 💙

Let it snow ❄️ • • • Quick little side project in addition to furnishing their living room… in my client’s entryway we made simple changes using a mirror they already had, plus a new coat rack. I love seeing these spaces decorated for the holidays! ❣️🎄

Anyone else feeling tired of subway tile? Sure, it’s a classic. And yes, I will definitely use subway tile for future projects. But there are SO many other options to consider.
For instance 👉🏼 Arabesque, Rhombus, Diamond, Picket, Harlequin, Hexagon, Scallop, Star, Cross, Fan, Circle, Square, and Houndstooth.
If you like modern, mid-century modern, or art deco styles (or perhaps you just want an interesting pattern) consider these shapes for your bathroom or kitchen remodel.

Our first holiday wreath workshop was so fun! Thanks again to our lovely host and her guests. If anyone else would like to squeeze in a wreath-making party for their friends/family in December, send us a DM.
I’ve had a lifelong attraction to vintage pottery and serving ware. Some pieces were passed down from family, some were gifts, and some I purchased at various antique stores and flea markets over the years. Newer pieces are mixed in as well. I love variety ♥️

This is how I do a warm earthy color palette. It doesn’t have to be all brown and tan. It can include the color of the forest. It can include the color of clay. It can include the colors of the rivers and streams tumbling over the rocks. Then mix in lighter tints of those colors too.
Monochromatic can get very boring. Don’t be afraid to incorporate touches of other colors here and there, to make it sing. It doesn’t have to be in the furniture or rugs or window treatments if that feels like too big of a decision… it can be in the smaller accents like pillows, art, and decor. If you need help putting a room together, contact me.

We’re currently in the construction stage of a basement remodel in McMurray, and it has me thinking about this really fun MCM basement we did in Oakmont last year.
The homeowner found that TRex art print, and it’s one of my favorite things in the room, aside from the groovy rug, and that teal sectional… and the black ceiling, and the pillows, and well, everything.🤩😎😍

What once was a beige passageway is now a moody and colorful mudroom for a fun family. The bench and walls received a color treatment, plus new hardware, and a new light. Art and cushions completed the palette.

I love how the wallpaper pattern reflects off the glass and makes it look like it’s part of the framed art. More pictures to come soon.

🦬 We styled this cozy nook with things my client had around the house, and also mixed in some new & old things from my own collection of treasures.
Custom built-ins designed by and brought to life by

We added custom builtins on either side of the brick fireplace, but the real showstopper in this room is the desk area that was built into an empty nook. 🔥
We used two-tone stained oak, and the rest was painted to match the new wall color.
