Today is Transgender Day of Remembrance. We honor all the trans lives lost and stand in support of trans people against acts of violence and hate.

The Housing Authority of the City of Pittsburgh had their Senior Thanksgiving Luncheon last Thursday. It was an honor for our own Councilman Bruce A. Kraus to speak and share a lovely holiday meal with everyone.

Happy Native American Heritage Month! We celebrate the lives and cultures of indigenous peoples, as well as the contributions they have made to our country. Did you know that the names of the three rivers that flow through Pittsburgh are from different indigenous languages?

Allegheny and Monongahela are named by the Lenape people while the Ohio River is named by the Seneca people. These rivers are one of many influences of indigenous peoples here in Pittsburgh!

🧈 Buttery Spread is the newest exhibition at Brew House Arts and it opens today! There will an opening reception that is free to the public from 6 PM to 8 PM this evening.

Meet your Emerald View Park Rangers to get outside and smash some Spotted Lanternfly Egg Masses! We will meet at Bandi Schaum Community Garden in Southside Park and take a short walk around the trails. Dress for the weather! This is a great event to get familiar with identifying egg masses and everything Spotted Lanternfly! (Gloves will be provided).
