We wanted to share with our friends and colleagues that Mary Jane Pugliano has passed away. Mary Jane served as our secretary and assistant for the Observership Program for many years until her retirement. Our condolences to her family. Mary Jane was a delightful person and a wonderful member of our team.

Tomorrow we say goodbye to our current group of observers and it has been a pleasure getting to know them! They are physicians from India, Egypt, Palestine, Kuwait and Pakistan. Wishing them all the best of luck with residency interview season and their professional endeavors!
It has been very mild and sunny in Pittsburgh for October this year. We could have used some sunglasses for our monthly photo with the international observers! This month's group included foreign medical graduates from hospitals in India, Ireland, Egypt, Palestine and not pictured, Japan.

Had a wonderful lunch yesterday with the August 2017 group of international observers from China, Iran, South Korea, India, Taiwan and Pakistan. We have had a lot of rain in Pittsburgh lately, so we were lucky to have clear skies for our photo!
It's Springtime - we had a nice lunch last week with our current international observers. This group is comprised of physicians from the Philippines, Brazil and India.

Congratulations to Drs. Herman Singh and Nabeeha Mohyuddin on recently securing residency positions at Allegheny! Both of these international medical graduates attended our International Observership Program within the last 6 months. We wish them all the best in their next year as residents at Allegheny Health Network! Have anymore of our former observers accepted residencies for 2017? If so, let us know about it!

We braved the snow last week for group photos with our International Observers for February 2017! Some of us weren't wearing coats, but we were still smiling! The observers in this group hail from hospitals and medical schools in India, Brazil and Ireland.
Had a great lunch this week with our current group of International Observers! We are glad to be hosting these doctors and students from Pakistan, UAE, Turkey and Brazil in the Allegheny Departments of Vascular Surgery, Orthopedic Surgery, Bone Marrow Transplant and Infectious Diseases.
