From little seeds to mighty flowers! The Washington Elementary Garden Club is in full bloom! Last May, each second grader planted a zinnia seed and fourth graders planted sunflower seeds. Rocks were painted by 5th graders and their kindergarten buddies. Coming soon is the first addition of “Gnome News” in the mailbox. From classroom concepts to real-world sales! Mt. Lebanon High School Entrepreneurship students hosted a Market Day to sell products they designed during lunch. Each product was developed, market-tested, and promoted through the effort of one of the 12 student entrepreneurs enrolled in the Entrepreneurship class during the spring 2024 semester. Due to the generous support of the Mt. Lebanon Foundation for Education, students could compete for funding by presenting a two-minute pitch of their plan and financial projections.
