During this time, BHI is raising funds to support women like Ana Gladys who received a positive cervical cancer diagnosis. Ana, a 47-year-old mother from El Salvador, was too ashamed and scared to seek treatment. BHI made sure that Ana was supported through the entire treatment process and provided transportation, lodging, and medication. Today, Ana’s cancer is in remission. She has become an outspoken advocate encouraging other women in her community to get screened early on.
BHI is committed to ensure that every woman encountered as part of our work is supported through the entire process so that she receives the treatment that she deserves.
