PSA: Cooling Centers are open throughout the City of Pittsburgh this week for those who need to get into air conditioning.
COOLING CENTERS ACTIVATED beginning Monday June 17!
Temps are predicted to soar into the 90’s this week and CitiParks will offer Cooling Centers for to have another option to beat the heat!
Monday, 6/17 to Friday 6/21—hours will be 8 AM to 7 PM with the exception of Wednesday-Juneteenth Holiday—hours on Wednesday will be 12-7 PM.

Grab your lawn chairs, Pittsburgh - summer is coming fast, and that means it's time for another year of Dollar Bank Cinema in the Park!
Kicking off in June, the 2024 movie season will showcase recent blockbuster hits “Barbie”, “Kung Fu Panda 4” and “Wonka”, and beloved family classics such as “Toy Story” and “Pete’s Dragon”.
Your favorite weekly neighborhood locations are back, with movies taking place at Arsenal Park, Banksville Park, Brookline Memorial Park, Flagstaff Hill, Grandview Park Bandstand, Highland Park, McBride Park, Ormsby Park, Riverview Park (following “Stars at Riverview” concerts), Schenley Plaza, and the West End/Elliott Overlook. August will see a month of pop-ups at varying locations across the city. All movies start at dusk.

Our friends at Pittsburgh Regional Transit and Allegheny County Department of Human Services just announced a permanent half-fare program for SNAP beneficiaries -- effective in June 2024.
While RAD is not directly funding this program, we know there are more than 130,000 Allegheny County residents who will be eligible. Spread the word!
