My newest foster. A puppy mill mom. She got a good warm bath and flea treated now cuddled up on a warm bed while she decompresses. Few weeks to months it may take to show her how dogs should be cared for.
To help save mill moms like her please consider donating to A Tails of Hope Animal Rescue
With Divine Interactions Equine Facilitated Wellness, LLC – I just got recognized as one of their top fans! 🎉

Foster failing at it's finest. Lol
In fact, an emerging body of scientific evidence indicates that interacting with horses improves health and well-being and can help people with numerous physical and mental health conditions, from children living with motor disabilities to adults grappling with post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).
And, as researchers are only now beginning to scratch the surface of the many ways in which partnering with horses can impact human well-being, many believe it is more important than ever to return the favor and find new ways to help horses live longer and happier lives.
“The horse is an amazing animal, and there’s so much research now that is advancing our understanding of how horse-human interactions impact health,” said Dr. Pebbles Turbeville, executive director of the nonprofit Horses & Humans Research Foundation, which invests in studies that explore how horse-human interactions benefit both species. The foundation has funded $655,000 across 14 high quality research studies on cerebral palsy in physical and occupational therapy, autism and military veterans. At the same time, industry leaders like Zoetis, the world’s largest company solely dedicated to animal health, are making major advances in equine medicine and standards of care to help horses live healthier, more fulfilling lives—an investment that, it seems, could ultimately benefit us all.
Starting July 15,2024 will be helping those in need of confidence, self-worth and a connection to these amazing animals.

I want to speak to the horse people who are constantly worried while they ride.
I am one of them. I've learned to sing and breathe through it some, but I'm still that person.
I did not learn to ride until I was 26 and I really think that makes a difference.
Maybe you are a rider who didn't come to horses until later. Maybe you have ridden all your life, but you had a bad wreck.
If you are a worried rider there is pretty much nothing anyone can do to make you get out of your head.
But
You need to find a horse that can deal with it and keep trucking.
Because if you get a horse that has been used to being alert to keep her herd safe, or a sensitive horse or a horse that is by nature a worrier
You are going to manifest your fears by trying to partner with that horse.
Chances are someday you actually will have things go really wrong on that horse.
One of you has to be the cool headed confident, adept participant on the team.
I get it. Trust me I do.
If you ride in your head, constantly saying silently "please don't let a deer pop out, please don't let the wind blow, please don't let there be dogs..."
You Have to find a horse to partner with who is nonchalant about all the things.
If you are on a looky loo who notices the beetle on the leaves and dances sideways at puddles you are only setting yourself up for disaster because your own apprehension will increase on that type of horse.
There are riders out there for all the horse personalities. You owe it to your horse to make sure you fit and complement his or hers.
One Animal and Person at a time
It's official
So many wonderful things coming together.
Do Not plug your barn fans or tack room window air conditioners into multi outlet bars.
They are not meant to handle that type of load and are prone to catching fire
Those box fans that you buy from a local store are very prone to catching on fire in a barn setting. Their motors are not enclosed and catch the dust.
Any fan you use in the barn should be inspected for rodent damage.
Additionally after it has run a few hours, investigated whether the cord is hot anywhere, or the fan itself.
Fans need breaks too. They aren't meant to run 24/7.
There are just as many barn fires in the summer as in winter so we need to be every bit as vigilant and careful.
Please keep your animals safe this week. Bring them in !!
