Today marks the start of the 2024 Olympic Summer Games!

Here are some fun ways to get your kids excited:

1. Olympic Ring Craft:
▪️ Materials: Colored paper or cardboard (blue, black, red, yellow, green), scissors, glue, markers.
▪️ Activity: Help kids cut out circles of different colors to represent the Olympic rings. They can glue them together to create their own Olympic ring artwork.

2. Mini Olympics:
▪️ Materials: Outdoor space or large indoor area, cones or markers for lanes, small balls or beanbags.
▪️ Activity: Set up stations for mini versions of Olympic events such as relay races, long jump (using tape for jumping distance), and ball throwing events. Create simple medals or ribbons for participants.

3. Flag Making:
▪️ Materials: Craft paper or fabric, markers or paints, string or sticks for flagpoles.
▪️ Activity: Help kids create flags representing different countries participating in the Olympics. They can draw or paint the flags and attach them to sticks or strings to wave during their own mini opening ceremony.

4. Decorate Medals:
▪️ Materials: Cardboard or foam circles, markers, stickers, ribbons.
▪️ Activity: Provide kids with blank medal shapes and let them decorate their own medals using markers, stickers, and ribbons. Award these medals to participants in your mini-Olympics or other activities.
