Pediatric Palliative Care Volunteer Training HospiceCare in The Berkshires is looking for volunteers to join our Pediatric Palliative Care program. The next training session is Friday, July 13th from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM.

On May 12 we held a pinning s ceremony at Hillcrest Commons with veteran volunteer Bob Sykes and patient George Johnston, who served in the Navy during WWII. It was an honor to share in this event with George.

The Pediatric Palliative Care Coalition (PPCC), is a volunteer group of professionals, parents, and community members who provide information and resources for families with children with life-limiting conditions.

This little friend who is part of our Pediatric Palliative Care program, will be delighted to get her gifts on Christmas morning. For now Mom has them safely hidden in those large black garbage bags.

For the seventh year our Pediatric Palliative Care patients, their siblings and other medically compromised children throughout Berkshire County received gifts from the Frank and Rosemarie Iovieno Caring for Children Foundation. All together 155 children benefited from this wonderful charity this year.

The staff and volunteers at HospiceCare in The Berkshires helped to wrap gifts, pick up gifts in Lexington MA and deliver the gifts. Many hands make light work. This is a highlight of the year at HCIB as we strive to meet the needs of our patients and the community at large.
