The parade will return Friday, Oct. 28 on Tyler St and begin at 7 p.m.
Schools, community, and civic groups are invited to participate in this beloved Pittsfield tradition, said Becky Manship, recreation and special events coordinator.
Every participating unit will need to review and complete the Halloween parade application packet. A link to the application and more information is available here:

The deadline for submission is Friday, Oct. 14.
There will be one float seminar held at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 20 in room 203 of City Hall. All entities that plan to have a float in the parade must have a representative in attendance.
Additionally, there will be a mandatory meeting at 6 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 24 for new parade participants in which one representative from each organization must attend as well. This meeting will also be held in room 203.

PITTSFIELD, Mass. (Sept. 7, 2022) – The city of Pittsfield’s Department of Community Development Recreation Program has announced the return of the city’s Halloween Parade on Friday, Oct. 28 on Tyler St. The parade will begin at 7 p.m.

Downtown Pittsfield, Inc. will present Indoors Out! Free Kids’ Paint & Sip on Friday, September 2, 5-7 pm, at the parklet and outdoor seating area at The Marketplace Café, 53 North Street. This event will be held in conjunction with the September 2nd First Fridays Artswalk which will take place in a dozen locations in downtown Pittsfield from 5 to 8 pm.
This free event is best suited for ages 5 to 12, although older children are welcome. All materials, snacks, and juice will be provided. For the September Paint & Sip, children can paint whatever they like! Children must be accompanied by an adult and masks are recommended. The alternate rain location will be at Hot Harry’s covered outdoor seating area at 37 North Street.
Indoors Out! Free Kids’ Paint & Sip is presented by Downtown Pittsfield, Inc. and funding has been provided by the Commonwealth Places Program created by MassDevelopment. The event is presented in partnership with First Fridays Artswalk.
