We are beyond excited to see major improvements in the Michigan statewide education budget. Significant spending allocations have improved, marking a major milestone for our students, teachers, and schools.
As we celebrate this accomplishment, let's remember that our work doesn't end here. Let's continue to support and advocate for a strong, inclusive, education system in Michigan ๐๐พ๐๐พ๐๐พ
We want to applaud the leadership of State Representative Regina Weiss & Darrin Camilleri in finalizing the 2023-2024 education budget, and there is so much to celebrate! Many of us worked long and hard to ensure that this budget embodies our values as an education justice community. There is still work to do, but we are grateful for the wins we achieved together so far.
