👉 Meet Jereme!

Jereme is our Client Development Executive at Humble Design Detroit. With 20 years of commercial interiors experience, Jereme has spent time helping customers across all industries, from federal government agencies to automotive dealerships transform their space.

Currently, as a Workplace Leader for MillerKnoll, he helps companies navigate the new challenges presented by distributed work.

We're SO honored to have Jereme as part of our team here at Humble Design, and his commitment to this impactful work! 🧡

We may be in the middle of a warehouse move, but our mission doesn't stop! We were thrilled to welcome Saleh and his family home after 10 years in a refugee camp and two months in a hotel here in Michigan. Samaritas was able to help them find the perfect house to call home and now they can finally get settled in their new community.

Huge thanks to the team from Barton Malow for sponsoring this day of joy! We are so lucky for their support year after year and always appreciate their hard work on deco days! 🏠🧡

We were so happy to welcome home this busy mother of 5! Not only is she learning new skills working for the , but she finished her GED and continues her creative and entrepreneurial skills in her own business as well as inspired her children to start one too!

We are grateful for our partner for all they do in our community. Thanks to and for providing food for our client. Thanks to our dedicated volunteers who helped and on this installation.

We had the pleasure of furnishing a delightful little home for a wonderful mom with two boys last Thursday! They moved here with the support of local family for a fresh start and we were honored to assist them. The future is bright as they move forward with a new job for mom and a new school!

We are grateful for our partner The House of Kadence who connected us to this family. Thanks to The Dre Project and We are Lasagna Love for providing food. A special thanks to our dedicated volunteers who helped Catherine LaLone on this installation. You are the dream team!

We had another double deco day! Despite the heat and the busyness, we were thrilled to create homes for two very special veterans.🇺🇸❤️

First was Joanne and her adorable dog, Tungsten. Joanne courageously served in the US Army and is currently facing some very serious health issues. We hope she and Tungsten love their new space and find some peace and healing.

Next was Creighton and his son. Creighton is a proud veteran of the US Navy. After some tragic events, they have landed in a spacious apartment. We wish them a very bright future.

A very heartfelt thank you to Joanne and Creighton for their service.

The rain didn’t stop us from completing two homes yesterday! ☔️☔️First, we visited Gerry Michigan Veterans Affairs Agency, a kind, soft spoken veteran who had been living with minimal furniture for over two years. He was thrilled to see his fully furnished space.

Then, we went to Shawn’s, he loved his place and was delighted to receive a beautiful electric recliner. We included his heartfelt thank you in our photos. 😊

A big thank you to our hardworking volunteers who did double duty. You ladies are the BEST!!🫶

🇺🇸 Freedom, fireworks, and a well-deserved break! 🎆

We’re closing the Humble Warehouses on July 4th & 5th to celebrate Independence Day. Time to fire up the grill, watch the sky light up, and enjoy some quality time with loved ones! 🍔🌟👨‍👩‍👧‍👦

We’ll be back at it on July 8th, ready to continue our mission of turning houses into homes with renewed energy and lots of spirit! 🏠❤️

This week we helped Jamila, a single mother of four, who recently fled a domestic violence situation and moved from Washington DC to Detroit. After experiencing housing instability, she found support from who helped secure a path to find a safe home for herself and her youngest son. In their new space, they aim to explore creativity through writing, making music, cooking, and enjoying family time together. We were so happy to use her beautiful family photos that capture the essence of a family who is blessed with love for one another.

We appreciate the support of our AMAZING volunteers and the community for their generous donations. Thanks to our partners at the Dre project and We Are Lasagna Love for the love and nourishment they provide.

Joy and laughter filled the air last Thursday! We are so grateful to MillerKnoll for joining us to serve Heaven and her children. They all jumped right in and took great care to turn this house into a Home🏡

Heaven and her children had been living with housing instability for years, moving from one family member’s home to another. Heaven wanted a better life for her children and a place of their own. While living in a shelter she sought the help of Neighborhood Legal Services. With their assistance she was able to secure their new home where they are most excited to have their first family game night!

We are grateful to Neighborhood Legal Services for connecting us to Heather and her children. Thanks to and for providing food. Thanks to our many donors who give us the furniture and decor to make a house a home. And a special thanks to MillerKnoll for your continued support.

Excited smiles and tears of joy filled the house yesterday as we welcomed home Vetra and her beautiful family! Speaking with each of her children on Monday, we discovered their individual interests and a shared theme: the importance of family. Their equal excitement for their siblings' rooms as for their own highlighted their strong family bonds. Their favorite space was the dining room, and they are super excited about sharing family meals together there. 🌟❤️🏡

We had so much fun at our Day of Joy with Kendall Design + Build! They did an amazing job helping us create the perfect space for our client and his teenage sons.

After a foreclosure forced them out of their home, they lived with extended family for some time in an unhealthy situation. Dad knew they needed a new start, so he made the decision to move to a shelter until he was able to secure housing. Now they are home and finally able to relax and enjoy being a family! We couldn't be more excited for their future.
