Today we honor the legacy of Louise Picard, who passed away seven years ago today. Louise had already had a successful career as a Nationally Board Certified Hearing Specialist prior to co-founding Your Hearing Now in 2008. In 2014 she was diagnosed with glioblastoma brain cancer and passed away in 2015 at 57 years old. Her memory and dedication to helping others hear and live life to the fullest continues through this 501(c)3 non-profit named in her honor, the Louise Picard Foundation. The administrative cost of the foundation are fully underwritten by Your Hearing Now and 100% of all financial donations go towards providing hearing instruments to those in the SW FL community that cannot afford to be fit. The foundation’s tag line, “Your Hearing Was Her Calling,” perfectly describes her dedication to the field of hearing instrument sciences.
