I wanted to give a shout out to the guides at for breaking trails all week long. They are experts at choreographing a day and a week of backcountry skiing that kept our group safe and shredding continuous fresh lines♥️

30 years ago I walked into a dance studio, terrified of what lay ahead. Improvisational dance I could do, but contact improv…it required an openness and vulnerability, mindfulness and connection. I was scared.

Letting go of inhibition, my body expanded into the space and the interaction of gravity and levity created bridges between myself and all the other bodies in the room.

Each time I entered a contact improv jam, I had to overcome the same fear - a fear of trust and being seen.

I still use the same courage and sense of gravity to connect with others, on and off the dance floor.

Along with many others, I have Steve Paxton to thank for pioneering a dance form and community that is full of potential and connection. The other side is having an amazing dance party today. RIP.

Music, friends, mountain biking and climbing…I had a good weekend. Aside from a few more nights sleep, I take my electrolytes and b vitamins to help me recover. Happy birthday Ron & Jon!

My belief is that you can teach old dogs new tricks. I started mountain biking at 45. I thought it was a sport for people not like me. It turns out, I love it! And yes, I had a little crash yesterday. Arnica 1m to the rescue. My arm had two huge nuggets and today , barely noticeable. I tend to travel with my heart open, ready to receive whatever spontaneous and inspiring gifts life has to offer. On one of my darker days, I refused to give into hopelessness and met another human who loves to ski and dance as much as I do. I am grateful. What would you like to receive today?
