We are searching for people who are enthusiastic about technical theater, design solutions, and helping people! Tech experience is not required, just enthusiasm and interest. We strongly encourage underclassmen to apply! The application will be open until Wednesday May 8th at 11:59pm (first day of study week), and applicants will be contacted to schedule a brief interview on Sunday May 12th.

VCTC has received a number of questions about the new mandatory production training that will be instituted this semester, so we have written an FAQ in collaboration with Shiva staff that you can read here! We welcome further questions as we continue to implement the new system.

***IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT*** VCTC is excited to officially announce our ✨merger✨ with the Shiva!

•Beginning this semester our equipment will be stored in the Shiva, allowing for a more efficient loan system.

• The Shiva will only accept 3 full-length shows, and each will have TWO weeks in the space.

•Shows in alt spaces can still request equipment as usual, and we still expect equipment requests at least two weeks before any show's tech week.

‼️PLEASE NOTE: the biggest change resulting from the merger will be a MANDATORY WEEKLONG PRODUCTION TRAINING Feb 3-8. ‼️

•This will replace weekly Shiva production/equipment training, so anyone planning to design, manage, or work on tech in ANY SPACE (not just the Shiva) this semester MUST ATTEND.

•A briefer building orientation for the Shiva will still be conducted weekly, and required for anyone working in the Shiva (including actors).

More details will be announced in the coming weeks, so check your emails, and feel free to reach out to us or to Shiva staff with questions! As always, VCTC is committed to promoting safety and efficiency in student theater tech on campus. 💕
