We strive to make a difference through our individual volunteering such as teaching piano, or doing arts and crafts with the Salvation Army after school program or through our long running chess playing and lessons at the Poughkeepsie library. We deliver Meals on Wheels, send kids to Kamp Kiwanis each summer and support area day care centers. We provide scholarships and community service awards to

Sharing to show some of what Kiwanis as a international organization does. This camp is upstate NY and runs through the summer with new campers each week. The Poughkeepsie Kiwanis sponsored 2 campers this year… on example of what your donations can do!

It’s that time of year! 🐯From now until the end of August the Poughkeepsie Kiwanis is collecting 🐰🦊New or “like new” STUFFED ANIMALS 🧸🦁
If you have clean stuffed animals 🐱that you would like to donate PLEASE do!
We are so grateful to have VEITH ELECTRIC offer to be the drop off location.

These 🐼stuffed animals will be going back out to children/adults in our community

And you can too! The posters are displayed in the glass cases outside the Poughkeepsie Train Station all through April! Such talented young people in our area and great people who support them! The Kiwanis Club of Poughkeepsie this morning hung Posters at The Poughkeepsie Train Station. There are several Display Cases at the Train Station and we were able to hang 80 plus Posters. The Theme this year was “What is your Favorite Thing To Do”?
We had 16 Winning Posters and the winners will be notified soon! Everyone did an amazing job and every poster is proudly displayed for the month of April! Thank You to all who participated and for everyone who helps make this wonderful event happen!
